Terms of use
Hallways of Time — the Meta Quest app, and the museum and timeline on the web · effective 22 September 2026
Hallways of Time is a museum of the history of the universe. You are welcome to walk through it, read it, and show it to whoever you like. These terms say what you may and may not do with the museum itself.
What you may do
- Use the app and the website as much as you like, for your own enjoyment, study or teaching.
- Show the museum to other people — at home, in a classroom, at a club — and record or stream your own visit, so long as you are not selling it or charging for access to it.
What needs our consent
Everything the museum is made of — its software, its architecture, its sculpture and statuary, its lettering and illustrations, its written entries, and the arrangement of its collection — is © 2026 the Hallways of Time team, and all rights in it are reserved.
Without the written consent of the team, you may not:
- copy, publish, redistribute, sell, rent, lend or sub-license the app, the website or any part of them;
- use any part of them for a commercial purpose, including paid exhibitions, paid events, advertising, or a product or service you charge for;
- alter, adapt, translate or build on them, or take out their models, textures, lettering, text or data for use elsewhere;
- reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble the app, except where the law says you may;
- remove or obscure the credits, or present the museum as your own work.
If you would like to do any of these — a school, a museum, an exhibition, anything — please ask. Write to o.rehman.1997@gmail.com, with Halls of Time as the subject, and we will answer.
What these terms do not cover
Some of what the museum shows belongs to other people and comes with its own licence, which these terms neither replace nor narrow:
- The photographs on the exhibits come from Wikimedia Commons and English Wikipedia, each under its own licence and credited beside it and on the picture credits page. Your right to use any of those pictures comes from its own licence, not from us.
- The music in the halls is in the public domain or dedicated to it under CC0, and is listed in the app's own credits page.
Accuracy
The museum's dates and descriptions are compiled from public sources and may contain mistakes. It is offered as it is, for interest and education, without any warranty.
If you got the app from the Meta Horizon Store
Meta's own terms of sale and service apply to the purchase and the store, alongside these terms.
Changes
If these terms change, this page will change first, with a new effective date at the top.
