YOUR WALK THROUGH TIME

First light. Then everything.

Begin in the origin chamber and follow the central plinths in chronological order. The doors at the end of each hall open as you approach, leading you onward through the cosmos, life, and humanity.

Desktop — drag to look, use WASD or arrow keys to walk, hold T to rise and H to descend, or click the floor to teleport. Select an exhibit to read its story. Use Previous moment and Next moment to move along the sequence.

Quest — aim either controller and press the trigger to read an exhibit or teleport to the floor. Push the right stick to walk, and move the left stick sideways to turn in 30° steps. Hold Y to rise and X to descend on the left controller. You can explore seated or standing.

Settings — choose your walking speed, how turning works and what moves, from Settings above, or press B on the right controller inside the headset.

The globe room — the Human Story is not a corridor. Hall Ⅲ holds one giant Earth: drag it to turn it, and run the time rail forwards or backwards to watch three hundred thousand years of moments appear where they happened. Seven entries belong to the whole planet and are named above the globe rather than pinned to it.

The opening is an artistic visualization of expansion; exhibit spacing is chronological, not proportional. “The beginning” returns you to the origin. All 495 entries are included in chronological chapters of up to 12. Use Next chapter or the desks at either end of a hall to continue its collection. Next moment automatically continues into the next chapter. All 495 entries also opens a complete searchable catalog. Doors let you move directly to the next hall. Dates after the Big Bang use the original timeline’s 13.797-billion-year age.
